Zero Carbon x Craig Black – shot by GarthIvan for withHeart and Lawless Studio

We were delighted to be a part of this project, with Garth Ivan L on site at #SWG3 to capture video and still of this amazing, carbon absorbing mural – conceived by Craig Black and Zero Carbon to coincide with #Cop26…

WORDS ARE PRETTY, BUT ACTION CREATES CHANGE

Original press release from Lawless Studio® below:

+ This mural sits right on the River Clyde, visible from the busy main road that leads into the COP26 site – cleaning the air thanks to the CO2 absorbing properties of the paint used.
+ The sentiment generally speaking is that everyone’s talking a good game on climate change, but nobody is taking any serious action. Our frustrations are matched by The Queen, no less, who came out with a similar line only a few weeks back.
+ Zero Carbon are demanding tangible action from our world leaders – most notably the need to #PriceOutPollution.
+ our two arches at SWG3 will absorb the same amount of CO2 as a mature adult tree over one year, thanks for the Graphenstone paint used
+ Painted by Craig Black – it’s the first time Craig has worked his signature acrylic fusion style into a 2D placement.
Thanks to our legions of helpers who put up with the road noise to help us get this up. To Garth Ivan L for the videography. To all the lovely folk at SWG3 led by Gaz Mac who sorted our scaff, looked after our paints and kept us on track. To Benjamin Sturges and Patrick Folkes at Graphenstone for pushing to get us paints on time. To @Paul Hamilton , Peter Larkin and team at Nice and Serious for developing the copy direction and to Hanna Henshall at If Not Now Digital for support on social rollout and direction.
And of course to Zero Carbon for the trust and desire to get this message up in paint, despite all the predictable challenges, restrictions and hurdles.
